JUANA THE MAD:
It was nicknamed "the Mad" by an
alleged mental illness alleged by his father and by his son away from the
throne to keep it locked in Tordesillas of lifetime. He has been written that
the disease could have been caused by jealousy towards her husband and by the
pain he felt after his death. This vision of his figure was popularized in the
romanticism in painting and literature.
