David By: Michelangelo

It was an sculpture in marble, made by michelangelo in the renaissance.

·Michelangelo works in it 3 years (from 1501 to 1504), because the ``Opera del Duomo´´ say he.
·Its 5.17 metres tall and it has a weight of 5572 kg.
·The sculpture try to representate King David in the previus moment to fight with Goliat, and its a symbol of Florences Republic.
·This sculpture is one of the most important of the renaissance and years ago it was outside of the Palazzo della Signoria.
·The eyes of David, with a warning glare, were turned towards Rome.
·It was moved to the Galleria dell'Accademia , Florence in 1873, and later replaced by a replica.
