Diego Velázquez (Laura Lixi 2ºA)

                                                                          Who was he?
He was one of the most famous painter in Spain.He was born in Circa(6th of June in 1599) in Seville.
He starts painting at 11 years old.Although his first paintings were related with the religion, he was renowned for his realistic, complex portraits.
In 1618, he was married with the daughter of his teacher od art´´Pacheco´´.Three years later, in 1621
they had 2 daughters.
He became very famous, because he paint a lot of important pictures like:
-Las meninas(1656)
-La rendición de Breda(1635)
-Venus del espejo(1647)
-Vieja friendo huevos(1618)
-El triunfo de Baco(1628)
 And more paintings that became famous.

Finaly, he died in 1660,6th August in Madrid.The cause of the death was: Because he became ill.
