The myth of Daphne and Apollo

Hello, this entry will be about a Greek myth. It inspired a baroque sculture, Apollo and Daphne by Bernini. This sculpture represents the moment in which Daphne becames a tree, especifically in a laurel.

One day Apollo laughted at Eros. 'Left that bow, it's not a weapon for children as you' he said. Eros was really angry, so he decided to punish Apollo.
First, he shot at him with golden arrow, what made that he fell in love with the nymph Daphne. Then Eros shot at Daphne with an arrow with the tip of bronze, what made that she started to hate Apollo.
Apollo started to run after Daphne, but she scaped. Finally, when Apollo was going to catch her, Daphne asked for help to his father. He converted her into a laurel.
Apollo was very sad and he decided that the laurel was going to be one of his symbols, and also yhe symbol of victory.
